Creative Vision

For your Creative Vision, we will work with you to map out an individually designed programme, to take place at your location, which will draw on the expertise of our specialists from mature markets who have the extensive experience and knowledge to help navigate your development route and support your particular needs.  The focus will be to enable your creative team to develop and produce projects that will work creatively and economically, will be sustainable on air in your local market and with potential for format sales internationally.

CREATING CONCEPTS | MANAGING DEVELOPMENT
| COLLABORATION |

As reductions in budgets are being sought by all partners in the expensive TV and Film process, the trend is toward more advanced international co-operation and co-production.  You need the best tools and resources to connect with potential partners and to perfect the development of projects so as to guarantee success within your local territory, and then on the international circuit.

Creative Vision can be applied to:
     •  scripted and non-scripted television
     •  feature film projects
     •  the building of management and development teams
     •  improving connections between writers and executives
     •  inspiring the creative process

Creative Vision has previously been applied to:
     •  addressing in-house sessions for drama, comedy and
entertainment development departments at TV channels
and production companies in Sweden, Spain, Italy,
the UK using teams of 2-4 specialist practitioners
        from US, UK and Europe
     •  development of pilot and first episodes of a talk
show for Ukrainian TV utilizing US Executive Producer
        and production design team models.
     •  production companies in Sweden, the UK and Belgium
reviewing treatments for projects in development for
domestic broadcast with input from US writers.
     •  production companies from Germany, Scandinavia and
the UK seeking international partners and to promote
their development slates in new territories.
     •  advising creators and writers from Germany and the
UK on advancing  the development of their current concepts.
     •  sessions  supporting an industry initiative – Outside
The Box - backed by key TV channels, production companies
and the Film Centre in Iceland to examine the creative
        process for comedy and drama

Creative Vision session with US Showrunner, Jim Parriott
Our Creative Vision open group sessions are designed to enable direct communication with leading creatives – US Showrunners, international co-producers, experienced practitioners in scripted and non-scripted TV programming as well as film – and provide a forum to examine the creation and development of concepts. To give you an idea of the directions that can be covered in a Creative Vision session, take a look at this video featuring US Showrunner, Jim Parriott.

At this session, Northwest Vision and Media welcomed US Showrunner Jim Parriott (Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty) who addressed the current state of US drama and the opportunities for new international production models. His 2009 project, Defying Gravity, was a prime example: originating with US studio FtvS (Fox TV Studios) in partnership with co-producers CTV (Canada), BBC (UK), ProSieben (Germany) and shot with Omni Film in Canada, before being picked up to air on ABC in the US.
