MediaXchange in association with The Erich Pommer Institut (Germany) proudly present the innovative programme European TV Drama Series Lab – supported by the MEDIA Programme of the European Union.

European TV Drama Series Lab is a high level training programme and ‘think tank’ for key players in the European television industry.

Module 2: June 9th - 15th, 2012 in Berlin (5 seminar days)

Participants must be available to attend both Modules.

What
European TV Drama Series Lab is a hands-on training programme that introduces and explores the essential elements of the successful drama series, presented by internationally acclaimed industry experts from across Europe and the US. 

Module 1: Framework for successful European TV Drama Series
The goal for Module 1 is to present and discuss the culture and market for TV Drama series in the United States and Europe that will assist in distilling systems and processes that can be applied to European TV production and creativity. 

- State of the industry
- Trends in series storytelling
- Legal and financial aspects of European co-productions
- Best practice lessons from successful European and US series 
- Latest trends in 360° content

Participants will also take part in ‘think tanks’ to discuss how the knowledge gained can be adapted and applied to the European market, their national industries and working realities. 

Module 2: The Creative Maze
The second module will emphasize the creative aspects, offering participants unique insights into the “ins and outs” of the successful US TV series, including the principles behind the Writers Room, the role of the Showrunner as well as the management of creative teams. 

After two introductory seminar days, the participants will be divided into two groups - writers together with creative producers, and drama executives together with broadcasters - to explore in greater depth, specific topics relevant to their professional backgrounds.

2) Fax or e-mail the application form (duly filled in and signed) by March 12th, 2012.

3) Send the following documents via e-mail as one (1) Word-file only, by March 12th, 2012:

4) Successful applicants will be contacted in late March. Confirmation and deadline for participation fees will be April 15th, 2012.

Fee
€ 4.500 

The fee includes:
- Registration fee for Module 1 and 2
- Accommodation and meals in Berlin (11 nights in total)

Katrina Wood To Moderate
MIP CoProduction Summit

MediaXchange CEO has been asked by REED MIDEM to moderate the second edition of the International Drama Co-Production Summit.

The closed door event will bring together up to 60 of the major players in the international drama co-production business.

The Summit’s aim is to help provide the context and space for co-producers from the broadcast, production and financial side to come together to discuss the future direction of co-production, to unveil emerging opportunities and connect with potential new partners.
