The Programme

A New Focus on Drama – New Frontiers, New Partners will provide a forum to bring together Drama professionals as they wrestle with the new paradigms in creating, financing and multiplatform distribution of drama today and to reflect on the future of this genre in the global marketplace. The goal is to develop new practices in content creation and targeting audiences, drawn from the shared experiences of producers, writers and executives from across the world.

Morning:

Keynote Speech with a vision of the new era combining the ideal, the futuristic, the pragmatic – and what forms of collaboration this will demand from those working in all areas of creation, development, execution and distribution

Thursday and Friday morning, select
round table breakfasts
will allow you to be introduced to a new territory or tackle in depth, a theme drawn from a Summit session, with colleagues from a range of markets and a variety of disciplines/sectors.

Mornings:

Discussion Forums will centre on the four main “tent poles” of new models in Creating Content, Financing, Production and Distribution. Talks will also focus on changing audiences in the emerging broadcast mediums of the Internet, mobile, etc.

Exhibition Lunch - See the latest ideas and concepts in action and hear the designers as they outline the benefits of applying the right tools and techniques. The Exhibition will display the latest cutting edge technology and solutions, presented by leading vendors in the new media field.

Inner Market meetings of 45 mins will roll through the afternoon i.e. one-on-one sessions scheduled between particular parties to discuss project pitches, development strategies and collaboration. The Inner Market will bring potential partners much closer on actual sales, deals and partnerships.

Final Keynote Speech will conclude the open discussion sessions and bring together the strands of what Summit participants have discussed in the different forums over the three days. Providing a sense of purpose and adventure for the new collaborations in global and multi-platform production which are sure to emerge.
