Christopher Barrett
CEO and President Metropolitan Talent Agency Christopher Barrett is CEO and President of Metropolitan Talent Agency, located Los Angeles. In 1982, Chris formed Metropolitan Talent Agency. “There is an attitude that is pervasive in Hollywood agencies - it’s ‘us versus them.’ Us versus the producers, us versus the clients, me versus the agent down the hall. I knew in my gut that there had to be a less toxic way of doing business…which would also provide my agents with the incentive to give their all.” This led him to reinvent the corporate structure at Metropolitan. The chief elements are compensation rules that foster collaboration, and a computer data system that makes all intelligence communal. “Basically, it means that all of our agents work for all of our clients; so it’s in everyone’s best interest to share information,” says Barrett. Metropolitan Talent Agency is truly unique in this industry in the way it does business. |
