Exchanges

TV DRAMA | TV COMEDY | TV ENTERTAINMENT

Individual weeks are allocated for our TV Exchanges held in Los Angeles in which you will examine the infrastructure underpinning the industrialized US process.  In scripted programming, we focus on two separate genres – TV Drama and TV Comedy.  The TV Entertainment Exchange majors in unscripted entertainment for broadcast network primetime as well as the popular lifestyle and factual entertainment that supports a bevy of cable networks.

Whichever of these three genres you choose and whether you are interested in such aspects as single camera or multi-camera comedy, you will be exploring the following elements with creative and development executives at TV networks, studios and production companies as well as the satellite interests of the media and entertainment agencies:

     •  sourcing concepts
     •  attracting talent
     •  the development process
     •  trends in shows for the upcoming season
     •  the state of current on-air programming
     •  strategies for sustaining long-running shows
     •  multi-platform exploitation
     •  marketing, scheduling and promotion
