The Showrunner programme is designed to explore the unique role of the US writer/producer as "Showrunner" and their combined creative and management responsibilities.

The Writers Room:
US writer/producers (Experts), experienced in the essential elements of writing and producing long running drama series, impart their knowledge and expertise in specially designed programmes for selected clients who have included Action Concept (Germany - Article Link), SBS (Sweden and Belgium) and the UK (BBC and Endemol).

The Week 
The Showrunner Programme allows delegates to follow the development and production of one episode of a US Series. Delegates will observe the creative team’s interaction with all elements of the production of the show and their handling of network interests.

The focus of this week is the application of the US model to participants’ domestic productions.
