Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, Timo was brought into a life of travel and cultural adventures. He grew up completely bilingual, attending schools and colleges in Tanzania, Germany, USA and Australia – with 5 years being the longest time spent consecutively in one place. Ever since landing the lead in a German TV movie at the age of 7, Timo has been fascinated by visual arts. He successfully completed a BA in Creative Writing (with a minor in Film Production) at the University of Texas in Austin and a year of hands-on production courses completed at the University of Technology in Sydney.

Timo’s career has been as diverse as his travels, though never straying far from the entertainment industry. During his time living in Los Angeles, Timo worked as PA to independent Producer Rana Joy Glickman, from Shakrah Films, coordinating various film projects in post-production, as well as pre-production of a feature film. His role allowed him to extend his knowledge of independent productions and he worked closely in the frontlines of “indie” film production.

Timo then took a 360 degree turn from independent field and worked in the fast paced production lines of Reality TV for E! Entertainment. At E! he worked on the international “Michael Jackson reenactment trial” (French and Italian versions) and “Naked Cannes,” a behind-the-scenes five one hour episodes of the 2005 Cannes film festival for the international market. He worked as a studio PA for the MJ reenactment and as an office PA for Naked Cannes. Extensive studio experience allowed Timo to gain an in-depth understanding of TV production and studio environment.

At the same time Timo has been developing his creative aspirations, writing and directing three short films and two documentaries, of which one documentary was nominated for the University Coop/George H. Mitchell Undergraduate Student Awards for Academic Excellence at the University of Texas in Austin.

Timo has now settled down to living in London and working for MediaXchange. Timo is excited to be a part of MediaXchange’s multi-national team of consultants. He is looking forward to extending and maintaining the exclusive, successful and acclaimed international consulting business MediaXchange has built over the last 15 years.
